Let's Do This!

Step 1:

  1. Dip a paint brush into water and then into orange paint. Smear the watered-down orange paint onto the plastic bag. Dip brush into water and then into the brown paint and smear the watered-down brown paint onto the plastic bag. Tip: Work quickly so that the paint stays wet on the bag.
  2. Once the plastic bag is coated with the watered-down paints, press a sheet of paper from the Multipurpose Artist Pad onto the bag. This will create a watercolor effect on the paper. Let dry.

Step 2:

  1. Dip a brush into water and then into brown paint. Brush the watered-down brown paint onto an artificial leaf.
  2. Press the leaf, paint side down, onto the paper from step 1. Repeat as many times as you’d like to create a pattern. Let dry.

Step 3:

  1. Apply gold glitter paint to the entire sheet of paper. Let dry.
  2. Cut a 10 ½" x 7" piece from the paper. Save the rest for a later step. Note: Double check your wine bottle to be sure these measurements will work for you.
  3. Use the gold paint marker to highlight the long edges of the paper from step 3b.
  4. Hot glue the paper around the bottle, making sure the seam is in the back.

Step 4:

  1. Cut two 10 ½" pieces and one 5" piece of burlap ribbon. Note: Our ribbon is 2 ½" wide.
  2. Wrap the two 10 ½" pieces of burlap around the bottle, on top of the paper, one right next to the other. Wrap the 5” piece of burlap around the neck of the bottle. Hot glue all the pieces in place.
  3. Cut a 1 ½" x 5" strip of paper from the leftovers in step 3b. Use a gold paint marker to highlight the long edges of the paper strip.
  4. Wrap the paper strip around the neck of the bottle, on top of the burlap, and hot glue in place.

Step 5:

  1. Tuck an artificial leaf and a small bunch of berries into the top of the bottom burlap strip.
  2. Cut an 18" length and a 54" length of gold ribbon.
  3. Criss-cross the 54" length of gold ribbon around the bottom of the bottle, on top of the bottom burlap strip. Hot glue in the back to secure.

Step 6:

  1. Paint the wooden letter of your choice with brown paint. Let dry.
  2. Poke a small hole through the top of the letter with a craft knife. Tip: Twist the point of the knife back and forth to make the small hole. Thread the 18" length of gold ribbon through the hole in the letter. Tie the letter to the neck of the wine bottle.
