Download the Dollar General mobile app or visit DG.com. Select “Create account” from the sign in screen and follow the steps to create your account.
Your phone number is your digital ID. Enter it at the register to apply clipped coupons and deals to your in-store purchases.
Clipped digital coupons and deals will automatically apply to DG Pickup orders when you’re signed in and checkout online or in the app.
Military service members, teachers, and Dollar General employees receive further discounts and benefits. Once you create an account, visit “My Account” to enter your status as an employee or under “Verified Programs,” as a teacher or member of the military.
Use your mobile phone number to create your account.
If you do not have a mobile phone number, you can create an account with a landline instead. During account creation, choose “Call Me To Verify” to receive a verification code and to complete registration. Please note that you will need internet access to sign in and clip coupons, either using a computer or through the DG Mobile app.

Dollar General accepts all major credit and debit cards for DG Pickup orders.
When you check out, we submit the estimated total amount of your order to your financial institution which reserves the amount necessary to complete the transaction.
If we are able to fulfill all the items in your order, without any changes, your final total will be the same as your estimated total.
If we are unable to fulfill all the items in your order, or substitute items with your permission, your final total amount will be different from your original estimated total.
If the final order purchase amount is different from the original order purchase amount, this information will be shown on your order ready email and in your order history.
Some items may become unavailable after you place your order. With your permission, Dollar General will substitute these items with the closest type and price match currently available in store.
To grant permission to substitute, check the “Substitutions allowed” box for each eligible item. Not all items are eligible for substitutions.
You will be charged the retail price of the substitute item and not the retail price of the original item in your DG Pickup order.
Digital coupons or other deals may not apply to the substitute item. Coupons or deals that can no longer be applied will be released from your order and remain clipped to your account to use for a different transaction.
If you are not happy with the substitute items, please see a sales associate to begin the return process.
Your order may change if items become unavailable and are removed or are substituted with your permission.
If items are removed or substituted, your order details including item quantity and specifications, coupons and deals applied, and final purchase total will be updated and sent to your email as well as available in your account for signed in customers.
Verify that all the items you expect to pick up are included with your order before you leave the store.

If they can’t find an item or the store is out of stock, the dasher may reach out to you via call or text to offer a substitution if one is available. You will be charged the retail price of the substitute item and not the retail price of the original item.
If the quantity of an item you requested is not available, for example you requested 3 Cokes and there are only 2, DoorDash will deliver the available quantity and refund you the difference at the end of delivery.
