What are Same Day Delivery orders with DoorDash?

Dollar General has partnered with DoorDash to offer Dollar General Items on DoorDash’s Marketplace App and Web. DoorDash allows you to shop your favorite Dollar General items on DoorDash and have your items quickly delivered. DoorDash fees do apply-- please see DoorDash’s help page for more information.

What happens if the store doesn't have an item I requested?

DoorDash will do their best to deliver all the items you’ve requested. If they can’t find an item or the store is out of stock, the dasher may reach out to you via call or text to offer a substitution if one is available.

What happens if the store doesn’t have the exact quantity of an item I requested?

If, for example, you requested 3 Cokes and only received 2, DoorDash will refund you the difference at the end of the delivery.

Can I ask DoorDash to pick up other items not on my initial order?

No. DoorDash is only able to deliver items that are initially ordered together on DoorDash. This excludes approved substitutions for out of stock items.

What fees do I pay?  

See the DoorDash Marketplace for a list of fees associated with your order. The fees help DoorDash pay the Dashers, operate the DoorDash platform, and provide the best service possible. You can see the fees from the checkout screen so you’ll know what the total is for your order before paying. You’ll also receive a receipt from DoorDash showing a breakdown of the order subtotal, applicable taxes, fees, and gratuity.

Can I use any coupons?

No. Coupons will not apply to your DoorDash Same Day Delivery Order. This means customers can NOT apply their $5 off $25 coupons or any other coupons to a DoorDash Same Day Delivery Order.

Will my order be tied to my Dollar General Account or Dollar General Order History?

No. Your DoorDash Same Day Delivery Order is not associated with your Dollar General Account in any way. Purchases on DoorDash will not show on your Dollar General Order History. You will not receive the in-store receipt.  You will only be provided a digital receipt from DoorDash.

Will DoorDash accept Snap/ EBT Payments?

No. DoorDash does not accept SNAP/EBT as a form of payment at this time.

Can I apply my tax-exemption to my DoorDash Order?

No. DoorDash does not accept tax-exemption at this time.

What if I have an issue with my order?

Please use the ‘help’ button on the DoorDash App or Website. You are able to contact the DoorDash Dasher while the delivery is ongoing or work with live DoorDash support during the delivery or after your order is complete. Additionally, you can contact DoorDash support teams here. Any returns, damaged merchandise or problems with your order should be directed to DoorDash. Dollar General Stores cannot accept a DoorDash receipt for any refunds or credits.
