* To receive a $25 statement credit in your spendwell account, you must successfully receive a qualifying direct deposit of a federal tax refund into your account between January 1 and April 30, 2025, 11:59PM ET. A qualifying direct deposit is defined as a federal tax refund direct deposit from the IRS (not a tax preparer) into your spendwell account. Must have an activated personalized spendwell card. Transfers and loads from other funding sources (including a payroll or government benefit direct deposit, a “refund advance,” or via Receive Money, debit card, cash, bank account) are not qualifying direct deposits for purposes of this offer. Account credit will be posted within thirty (30) days of your qualified direct deposit as defined here. Your spendwell account must be in good standing. Limit one (1) $25 credit per customer. Offer subject to change or cancellation at any time. This optional offer is not a Pathward® product or service.
† Faster access compared to standard tax refund electronic deposit and subject to IRS submitting refund information to the bank before release date. IRS may not submit refund information early. Does not change IRS refund processing speed. Claim is based on making federal refunds available when payment instruction is received, which may be earlier than scheduled payment date. Depends on timing of the IRS's payment file. Available only for federal refunds. May be changed or discontinued at any time.
1. Overdraft protection (“ODP”) is an optional service offered to eligible spendwell® accountholders by Pathward®, National Association, Member FDIC. Overdraft protection eligibility requirements include (i) main accountholder has activated their personalized card; (ii) main accountholder has a positive available balance; (iii) main accountholder received direct deposits totaling $400 or more in the past 35 days. Once you enroll and meet eligibility requirements, a $15.00 overdraft fee will be charged to your account for each debit card purchases or ATM transaction that overdraws your account by more than $10.00 (via one or multiple transactions) and it is not paid back within 24 hours of the first transaction that caused you to overdraw your account. We will authorize overdraft transactions for ATM withdrawals and everyday debit card transactions; we will not authorize overdraft transactions for checks, ACH debit transactions, or automatic payments. Certain direct deposits from the State of California may disqualify you from overdraft protection eligibility. Must opt in to receiving text or email alerts. Once overdraft protection is activated on your account, you MUST continue to receive direct deposits totaling at least $200 to your account every thirty-five (35) days or we will deactivate your participation in overdraft protection. Subaccount users are not eligible to enroll. Any negative balance must be repaid within thirty (30) days. Whether we authorize an overdraft is discretionary, and we reserve the right not to pay. For example, we may not pay an overdraft if you fail to meet the eligibility requirements or attempt too many transactions or transactions that create too large of an overdraft. This service may be expensive, so we encourage you to research alternatives before enrolling. Once enrolled, you may opt-out at any time; however, you are responsible to repay any overdrawn amounts on your account even if you opt-out of the service. Additional details, requirements, terms, limits and fees apply. See Overdraft Protection Terms for details.
2. Cash reload outside of Dollar General locations incurs a fee of $3.95.
3. Early access compared to a standard payday electronic deposit and subject to your employer submitting paycheck information to the bank before payday. Your employer may not submit paycheck information early. See additional fees, terms and conditions at myspendwell.com The full Deposit Account Agreement and Demand Deposit Rewards Terms maybe viewed at myspendwell.com.
4. With the spendwell® Unlimited 1% Cash Back card, earn 1% cash back on purchases (less returns/credits), which can be redeemed and used only on future purchases at Dollar General. Cash back is rounded to the nearest dollar and added to your account after you use your card. Rounding purchases to the nearest dollar means that you won’t earn a fraction of a penny in cash back. For example, a purchase of $.0.01-$0.49 rounds to $0.00 (you don’t earn cash back), a purchase of $0.50-$0.99 rounds to $1.00 (you earn $0.01 cash back), and so on. Account spend limits apply. Cash back is typically applied to your account promptly after your purchase but could take up to 60 days. ATM transactions, fees and online bill pay are not purchases and do not earn cash back. For full terms and restrictions, see the Demand Account Agreement at myspendwell.com/legal.
